Cork Boy Butter Knife
Cork Boy kitchen utensils combine the feeling of traditional wooden cookware with a contemporary functionary design. They are designed for use with non stick pans by our in house chef Martin Horgan. With so many wine producers moving to plastic corks, the cork industry is struggling so we sat down to design objects that utilize this age old renewable material. The cork gives the utensils a warm feeling in the hand while keeping the weight down.

Ordning Bowl
‘Ordning’ is the Swedish word for order and represents our quest for order in dealing with offcuts, Martin developed this technique originally for his Masters project on pattern, decoration and craftsmanship. It has since, become a way of life and working for him. One example of how it manifests in his work is how he transforms plywood, elevating people’s appreciation of an often-underappreciated material. Martin uses this technique to create anything from flat panels to boxes and his latest addition is bowls. The geometric constructions are turned into bowls that trick your eye with visual illusions and engage the brain with geometric pattern entanglement. Seeing is believing!

Wu Tong Chopsticks
Wu Tong Sticks
Chopstick training for all ages
This product is aimed at those of us who struggle with chopsticks and Asian eating customs, giving them that little bit of help with the technique.
The first time my Dad used them, he was very happy with being able to join in with the rest of the family for noodles. They are also suitable for young children, getting them used to the idea of chopsticks and other eating customs (they’ve already mastered Ethiopian eating customs at this point).

The legend of the Wu Tong
While working on the kitchen tongs over a period of months I struggled to come up with a name. Then one day while sanding some it hit me as I looked down and saw the UU U. From this I started to think of how the Wu-Tang Clan got their name from old Kung Fu movies (the Wu Tang sword style). It was also at this time that I stumbled across the chopsticks, a happy accident when I kept sanding down a pair of Wu Tongs and the Wu Tong Sticks were born. It all seemed to come together and the Wu Tong Style developed into a new form of chopstick training.
